To ensure your comments are considered they should be submitted within the Public consultation period as shown above. After that date it may not be possible to take your views into account although every effort will be made to do so.

You should be aware that legislation requires any comments you make are available for inspection by the applicant or anyone else interested in the application. Your name and address must be included with the comments and will be published on this website and placed on file for public inspection. Because of this we cannot take into account comments that are marked "confidential".

You do not have to provide your telephone number or e-mail address but it is helpful for us to hold an email contact so we can update you electronically and we can also email you updates of amended information or committee dates. If you include this information it will not be published on our website, we always endeavour to redact personal information like telephone numbers, email addresses or signatures.

We do not acknowledge representations please check the website for publication which can take up to 5 working days. We will not normally write to you again unless the scheme is significantly amended or to tell you if and when the application is to be reported to the Planning Committee. The planning decision will be published in the local newspaper or can be viewed at this site, www3.somersetwestandtaunton.gov.uk/asp/webpages/plan/plweeklylist.asp.

In the case of householder applications, in the event of an appeal that proceeds by way of the expedited procedure, any representations made about the application will be passed to the Secretary of State and there will be no opportunity to make further representations.
